Jen Berry – Founder | Coach
Jen Founder of A Balancing Actress Collaborative, an education platform dedicated to helping performing artists build sustainable careers through mental health literacy, financial education, and career strategy. Creator of the Actor Career Sustainability Framework, a model used to help actors develop long-term stability in an unpredictable industry.
With over two decades of experience in the acting industry, Jen has worked across stage and screen from New York City to California. She holds a BA in Musical Theatre and trained at NYC’s T. Schreiber Studios, performing in classical theatre, film, and commercial projects while gaining firsthand insight into both the opportunities and systemic challenges artists face throughout their careers.
During the pandemic, Jen created a national virtual self-tape community for actors, where, through the conversations held after the acting was over, she observed a recurring gap in traditional training: performers were taught how to pursue the craft, but rarely how to sustain themselves emotionally, financially, and professionally over time. This realization led to the creation of A Balancing Actress Collaborative.
Through the Collaborative, Jen develops programming that integrates creative development, mental wellness education, financial literacy, and community-centered support, helping artists, creatives, and professionals build careers rooted in longevity rather than burnout.
Jen is passionate about fostering inclusive creative spaces where artists feel supported not only as performers, but as whole humans.
Her superpower is creating spaces where people don’t just network they build lasting community.
